In the 13th minute, Geovani Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durvalino Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jardel Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Travessos FC booed when Fabio Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Travessos FC's Rui Coutinho shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 26th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Orlando Antunes but with some difficulty. The ball had pretty good speed, but Durvalino Lopez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Durvalino Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Fernandes in the 67th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Charles Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
