Luizinho Gaspar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Monteiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes Guarani de Osasco got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Gaspar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Claudinei Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Cauã Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarani de Osasco's supporters rose to their feet, but Cauã Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nova Santa Rosa FC's Benjamin Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizinho Gaspar in the 58th minute of play. Orlando Ceresso lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Sílvio Luís Souto struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Benjamin Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guarani de Osasco. In the 69th match minute, Nova Santa Rosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. If Sílvio Luís Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Sílvio Luís Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luís Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Benjamin Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nova Santa Rosa FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
