Leandro Campidelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BETIMFC. Severino Furlan charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severino Furlan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of BETIMFC booed when Valenciense AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Valenciense AS's Leandro Campidelis got control of the ball when Jean Travassos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 12 minutes, Jean Travassos made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Valenciense AS's Leandro Campidelis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Durval Mattos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Valenciense AS! The goalkeeper, Leandro Campidelis, was totally fooled by BETIMFC's Waldir de Medeiros, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Leandro Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir de Medeiros in the 21st minute of the match. Edmílson Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Toninho Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Koehler hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Jean Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BETIMFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Waldir de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Eduardo Vander hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Edmílson Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valenciense AS's goalkeeper Leandro Campidelis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valenciense AS's Leandro Campidelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Valenciense AS from getting a goal against them. Waldir de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, BETIMFC's Waldir de Medeiros dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 45th minute Waldir de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmílson Arruda to strike the kick off in the second half. Toninho Loureiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmílson Arruda in the 56th minute. Waldir de Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leandro Campidelis having to make a save. Leandro Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Travassos in the 60th minute of the match. If Jean Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leandro Campidelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldir de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Leandro Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir de Medeiros in the 71st minute of play. Leandro Campidelis came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by BETIMFC's Waldir de Medeiros. But to his dismay, Waldir de Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After 78 minutes of play, BETIMFC's Jean Travassos made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Campidelis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 82 minutes, Waldir de Medeiros made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Valenciense AS's Leandro Campidelis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Valenciense AS's Leandro Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Travassos in the 88th minute of play. After 90th play minutes Waldir de Medeiros shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Leandro Campidelis and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldir de Medeiros in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Campidelis saved Valenciense AS from getting behind. BETIMFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
