The supporters of Campeão booed when Guarani de Osasco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio do Nascimento in the 12th minute of play forced Guarani de Osasco's goalkeeper Reinaldo Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Guarani de Osasco's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio do Nascimento came free, but Reinaldo Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guarani de Osasco's Reinaldo Marinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Guarani de Osasco from getting a goal against them. Emílio do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Marinho having to interfere. In the 27th minute Sílvio Luís Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renatinho Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruninho do Valle got free with Reinaldo Marinho in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Augusto Godoi hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio do Nascimento in the 39th minute of play forced Guarani de Osasco's goalkeeper Reinaldo Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruninho do Valle got free with Reinaldo Marinho in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Emílio do Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Campeão's zone, Sílvio Luís Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renatinho Leão came out of the goal and Sílvio Luís Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renatinho Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizinho Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Sílvio Luís Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raúl Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luizinho Gaspar in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renatinho Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute Bruninho do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luís Souto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Renatinho Leão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, Campeão's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luís Souto came free, but Renatinho Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renatinho Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sílvio Luís Souto in the 93rd minute.
