Angelo Pires yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Paulinho Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Pires having to interfere. If João Carlos Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes, Gustavo Pitta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NOTHÓRIOUS F. C. and the Karamelo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, NOTHÓRIOUS F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Pitta to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Karamelo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Trancoso came free, but Gildo Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gildo Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Freitas in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Karamelo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Gerber to maneuver through the defense. Karamelo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulinho Arósio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zeca Cabral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gildo Motta. Karamelo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Baltazar Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Paulinho Arósio made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Abel Oliveira notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of NOTHÓRIOUS F. C.'s Angelo Pires. Angelo Pires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Eusébio Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karamelo FC's Maurício Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Abel Oliveira made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Pires. NOTHÓRIOUS F. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Abel Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karamelo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karamelo FC's Paulinho Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute Baltazar Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Abel Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Karamelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Oliveira couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Karamelo FC fully deserved thier win.
