After having played for 7 minutes, Raúl Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varzedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raúl Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Fábio Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Fausto de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Varzedo fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Varzedo's Raúl Paraibano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 22 minutes into the match, ABANDONEI O TIME's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Paraibano came free, but Raimundo Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evaristo Martins ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute, Evaristo Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in ABANDONEI O TIME fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for Varzedo. Delfim França stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Raimundo Cavalcante. 0-5. After 38 minutes of play, Varzedo's Delfim França made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimundo Cavalcante was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Raúl Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Varzedo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl Paraibano couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute Raúl Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim França scored 0-7 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundo Cavalcante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Raúl Paraibano made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Paraibano in the 57th minute of play forced ABANDONEI O TIME's goalkeeper Raimundo Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58thth minute of the game Raúl Paraibano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ABANDONEI O TIME's Raimundo Cavalcante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Delfim França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Abelardo Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dieguinho Mota struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Raimundo Cavalcante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varzedo. ABANDONEI O TIME's Raimundo Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Antunes in the 78th minute of play. Raúl Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Cavalcante having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Raúl Paraibano fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Abelardo Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Varzedo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
