When Claudinei Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Atlético Lençoense's protests and gave Claudinei Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Claudinei Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shadow of Nightmare FC's Murillo Capixaba got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Vítor Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iuri Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Capixaba in the 17th minute of play forced Shadow of Nightmare FC's goalkeeper José Vítor Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shadow of Nightmare FC's goalkeeper José Vítor Veiga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Iuri Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamílton Esteves in the 26th minute of play forced Shadow of Nightmare FC's goalkeeper José Vítor Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Narciso Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murillo Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Murillo Capixaba struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Rubinho Negri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shadow of Nightmare FC. After some careless play in the Shadow of Nightmare FC defense, Hamílton Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Vítor Veiga. The Shadow of Nightmare FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Vítor Veiga should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iuri Capixaba to make the kick off. Rubinho Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Machado in the 55th minute of play. Rubinho Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Murillo Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rubinho Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Shadow of Nightmare FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Sidnei Machado hit a great ball. José Vítor Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iuri Capixaba in the 65th minute of play. If Narciso Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Lençoense's Laerte Dante got a free kick in the 67th minute. Murillo Capixaba scored 2-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rubinho Negri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Murillo Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Rubinho Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iuri Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Lençoense's Laerte Dante got a free kick in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Shadow of Nightmare FC's zone, Iuri Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Veiga came out of the goal and Iuri Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shadow of Nightmare FC's goalkeeper José Vítor Veiga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Clube Atlético Lençoense's Iuri Capixaba in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shadow of Nightmare FC's goalie prevented a goal. Hamílton Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Veiga having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Shadow of Nightmare FC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Veloso. In the 95th minute, Hamílton Esteves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Atlético Lençoense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
