Túlio Teixeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Douglas Viana fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mapirunga SC's protests and gave Douglas Viana a yellow card for diving instead. Caetano Neto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Túlio Teixeira. Mapirunga SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hamílton de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Murilo Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Teixeira having to interfere. Túlio Teixeira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubinho Pirani to make the kick off. Mapirunga SC's Douglas Viana got his second yellow card of the match in the 53rd minute. The referee ordered Douglas Viana off the ground. A collision led to Caboto SS getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Germano Varela hit a great ball. Túlio Teixeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Guedes's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Murilo Guedes charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murilo Guedes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Caboto SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
