The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelsinho da Cunha got free with Mazinho Almeida in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carpeiro Paulinia F.C's Mazinho Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovani de Almeida in the 41st minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Mazinho Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovani de Almeida in the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Arnaldo Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelsinho da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Mazinho Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Nelsinho da Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mazinho Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Claudinei Fontes's late challenge caught a Carpeiro Paulinia F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinei Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cacutu's Claudinei Fontes got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 86th minute, Gildo Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carpeiro Paulinia F.C's Paulinho Massa shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Diogo de Sousa but with some difficulty. If Nelsinho da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Carpeiro Paulinia F.C getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Giovanni Fernandez hit a great ball.
