Elói Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro da Fonseca in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Queixo Juniors booed when Quarany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Evandro da Fonseca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elói Alcântara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Quarany booed when Queixo Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Queixo Juniors's Róbson Abraão got control of the ball when Luís Eduardo Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Queixo Juniors's goalkeeper Róbson Abraão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Eduardo Nunes. Queixo Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quarany the free kick. Luís Eduardo Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Róbson Abraão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Evandro da Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Elói Alcântara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Queixo Juniors's Ronaldão de Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Quarany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Eduardo Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Quarany's goalkeeper Elói Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute of the match Tales Hoffmann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Róbson Abraão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Quarany's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
