Spectators: 7212 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gilmar Furlan made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Vinhas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mazinho Almeida. Carpeiro Paulinia F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Vinhas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 7th minute, Arnaldo Vinhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnaldo Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elói Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Xavier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elói Alcântara. Quarany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Quarany's Elói Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Soares in the 18th minute of play. Elói Alcântara came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Carpeiro Paulinia F.C's Telmo Soares. But to his dismay, Telmo Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mazinho Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Vinhas in the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Quarany's Cléberson Teles got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 31stth minute of the game Telmo Soares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quarany's Elói Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Furlan in the 34th minute of play forced Quarany's goalkeeper Elói Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Quarany's Dito da Rocha broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Arnaldo Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaldo Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnaldo Vinhas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Telmo Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói Alcântara having to interfere. When Artur Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quarany's protests and gave Artur Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Carpeiro Paulinia F.C booed when Quarany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Mazinho Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luís Eduardo Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carpeiro Paulinia F.C's Mazinho Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Vinhas in the 75th minute of play. Mazinho Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Luís Eduardo Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quarany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Eduardo Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Quarany's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gilmar Furlan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mazinho Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Vinhas in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Arnaldo Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Baptista hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Carpeiro Paulinia F.C players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Quarany from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
