Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Evandro da Fonseca got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th minute Túlio Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Queixo Juniors's zone, Murilo Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbson Abraão came out of the goal and Murilo Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erasmo Quintal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hamílton de Lima. Caboto SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Germano Varela's late challenge caught a Queixo Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Germano Varela helped the player get up and apologised. Caboto SS's Murilo Guedes got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Germano Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbson Abraão having to interfere. Róbson Abraão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Guedes's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

The audience was convinced that Murilo Guedes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Róbson Abraão was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Túlio Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caboto SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Túlio Vergílio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbson Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Murilo Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murilo Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Túlio Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Róbson Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murilo Guedes in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Róbson Abraão saved Queixo Juniors from getting behind. In the 69th match minute, Queixo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Quintal to maneuver through the defense. Murilo Guedes struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Róbson Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caboto SS. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murilo Guedes couldn't finish the play. Róbson Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Guedes in the 93rd minute of play. If Germano Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Caboto SS had played much better football throughout.
