In the 11thth minute of the game Murilo Guedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cacutu's Diogo de Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Diogo de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Túlio Vergílio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st match minute, Cacutu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Prestes to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cacutu's goalkeeper Diogo de Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Germano Varela struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Diogo de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caboto SS. 42 minutes into the match, Túlio Vergílio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diogo de Sousa. Cacutu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Túlio Vergílio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Túlio Vergílio came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Caboto SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio Vergílio couldn't finish the play. Túlio Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Túlio Vergílio was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes, Túlio Vergílio made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Cacutu's Diogo de Sousa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Caetano Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo de Sousa having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Diogo de Sousa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Cacutu's zone, Túlio Vergílio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo de Sousa came out of the goal and Túlio Vergílio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Túlio Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Diogo de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caboto SS. Diogo de Sousa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Túlio Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gildo Leme hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Cacutu's Albertinho Paes suffered a sore thigh after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 87 minutes into the game, Joel Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cacutu's Diogo de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Vergílio in the 96th minute of play. Túlio Vergílio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Diogo de Sousa 97 minutes into the match. Caboto SS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
