In the 4thth minute of the game Sidnei da Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quarany's Elói Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elói Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fabiano Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fabiano Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói Alcântara having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Nunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdir Meira having to make a save. In the 15th minute Luiz Fabiano Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Luisão Meireles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CR Atlétas de Cristo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quarany the free kick. Luisão Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When Artur Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quarany's protests and gave Artur Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Quarany getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Artur Baptista hit a great ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elói Alcântara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Baltazar Arantes hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Luiz Fabiano Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Elói Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CR Atlétas de Cristo's Valdir Meira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save CR Atlétas de Cristo from getting a goal against them. Elói Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Ferraz in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 53rd minute, Luís Eduardo Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 55 minutes of play, Quarany's Luís Eduardo Nunes made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdir Meira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 58th minute, Arnaldo Vinhas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdir Meira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. CR Atlétas de Cristo's Valdir Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Vinhas in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute Luís Eduardo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Cléberson Teles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quarany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CR Atlétas de Cristo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Quarany's Cléberson Teles got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Valdir Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Vinhas in the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Eduardo Nunes in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdir Meira saved CR Atlétas de Cristo from getting behind. Luiz Fabiano Ferraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Elói Alcântara made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Ferraz put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Elói Alcântara. 4-1 became the score in the 96th minute when Arnaldo Vinhas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Quarany had won after a very even match.
