Ronaldo Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Passos in the 22nd minute of play forced Pontes Academy FC's goalkeeper Durvalino Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Anselmo Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ian da Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldo Cosme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian da Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute, Ian da Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pontes Academy FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Pontes Academy FC's Durvalino Paranaense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Pontes Academy FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian da Silveira in the 38th minute of play forced Zelia FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durvalino Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zelia FC's Ronaldo Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian da Silveira in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruninho Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. Zelia FC's Durvalino Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 56 played minutes Pontes Academy FC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Sabóia. After 62 played minutes Pontes Academy FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Valladares. Durvalino Paranaense came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Zelia FC's Enrique Vander. But to his dismay, Enrique Vander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Ian da Silveira took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Ronaldo Cosme to make any attempt to save it. 78 minutes into the match, Bruninho Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Durvalino Paranaense. Pontes Academy FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruninho Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Fernando Valladares during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Pontes Academy FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Zelia FC:s goal. If Ian da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gino Secco got free with Ronaldo Cosme in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronaldinho Santana got a throw-in 97 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Waldemar Passos. Zelia FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
