The crowd rose to their feet as Toninho Messias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emil Hajduk. Galópolis FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alcance Futebol Clube the free kick. Dagoberto Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Emil Hajduk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alcance Futebol Clube. 80 minutes in the game, Egídio Cordeiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Valdo Gaúcho having to interfere. Edu Moreira walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.
