Ronaldo Cosme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toninho Messias went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, one of Zelia FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ronaldo Cosme went to the wrong direction when Dagoberto Vasconcelos was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some careless play in the Zelia FC defense, Toninho Messias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldo Cosme. The Zelia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldo Cosme should have stopped the shot. Ronaldo Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Messias in the 20th minute of play. Enrique Vander charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Vander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, Zelia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Vander to maneuver through the defense. Falcão Marques took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldo Cosme. Ronaldo Cosme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ronaldo Cosme came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Alcance Futebol Clube's Toninho Messias. But to his dismay, Toninho Messias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Zelia FC's Waldemar Passos got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute, Falcão Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronaldo Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Messias in the 37th minute of play. Ronaldo Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falcão Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Zelia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Messias came free, but Ronaldo Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When César Recife fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alcance Futebol Clube's protests and gave César Recife a yellow card for diving instead. César Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Alcance Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Valdo Gaúcho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Damião. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruninho Toledo to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Zelia FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Falcão Marques. The audience thought a goal was coming when Falcão Marques got free with Ronaldo Cosme in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Zelia FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Waldemar Passos hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toninho Messias in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo Cosme saved Zelia FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruninho Toledo in the 65th minute of play forced Alcance Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Valdo Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Toninho Messias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ronaldo Cosme, 0-5. After having played for 74 minutes, Enrique Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zelia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Vander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Waldemar Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Gaúcho having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Enrique Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zelia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Vander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdo Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Falcão Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 92nd match minute, Zelia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Passos to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Toninho Messias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ronaldo Cosme. The goal made the score 0-7.
