Atlético Goianiense's Edvaldo Guedes hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-1! After a rather tough play, Zelia FC's Ramón do Valle got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ronaldo Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Almeida in the 70th minute of the match. Jaime Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Bruninho Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Zelia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruninho Toledo couldn't finish the play. Enrique Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Edvaldo Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Carlos Alberto Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Zelia FC's zone, Bernardinho Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Cosme came out of the goal and Bernardinho Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atlético Goianiense's Carlos Alberto Camargo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Atlético Goianiense players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zelia FC.
