Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Guto Gamalov got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th match minute, Geribues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Pedro Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Matheus Ferraz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 14 minutes, Samuca Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geribues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuca Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Manuel Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viannopolis FC's Luizinho de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Saldanha in the 26th minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Mateus Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geribues's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viannopolis FC the free kick. Mateus Meirelles hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Guto Gamalov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Luizinho de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Viannopolis FC's Matheus Ferraz got a free kick in the 46th minute. Guto Gamalov struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Luizinho de Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geribues. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matheus Ferraz was the one to do the kick off. Guto Gamalov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luizinho de Lara having to make a save. 57 minutes into the match, Viannopolis FC's goalkeeper Luizinho de Lara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guto Gamalov. When Samuca Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Geribues fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuca Saldanha couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Viannopolis FC defense, Guto Gamalov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizinho de Lara. The Viannopolis FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizinho de Lara should have stopped the shot. If Guto Gamalov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes, Geovanni Gaúcho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viannopolis FC and the Geribues players grew even worse after the yellow card. Geovanni Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Manuel Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viannopolis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Tasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betinho de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Guto Gamalov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geribues fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Guto Gamalov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Viannopolis FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Marcel Guimarães hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Geribues's Guto Gamalov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luizinho de Lara. That made the score 0-3 after 83 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Geribues left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Viannopolis FC.
