After a defensive mix-up in Zart Futebol Clube's zone, Betinho Netto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Carlos Paranaense came out of the goal and Betinho Netto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 17 minutes, Durvalino Mazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zart Futebol Clube and the Antifas do Iguaba F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Durvalino Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Paranaense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonardo Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Paulo Vianna in the 25th minute. If Betinho Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Betinho Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Víktor Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Antônio Carlos Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betinho Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 44 minutes of play Zart Futebol Clube's Durvalino Mazza was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Zart Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Durvalino Mazza hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Betinho Netto made a kick off. The supporters of Antifas do Iguaba F.C. booed when Zart Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilian Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Carlos Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan Cordeiro in the 59th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Antifas do Iguaba F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Zart Futebol Clube:s goal. Pedrão Diniz shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Zart Futebol Clube's Diguinho Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 played minutes Antifas do Iguaba F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luan Cordeiro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Paulo Vianna in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dida Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Antônio Carlos Paranaense made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Vianna in the 90th minute of play forced Antifas do Iguaba F.C.'s goalkeeper Leonardo Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute Luan Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antônio Carlos Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Netto in the 97th minute of play. Flávio Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
