Spectators: 7177 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vladimir Nunes started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind União Bandeirante F.C.'s goalkeeper Fabinho Leal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ulisses Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Fabinho Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabinho Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emerson Leite's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Ulisses Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabinho Leal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Vladimir Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Ulisses Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Fabinho Leal. União Bandeirante F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Arthur Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Nunes in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, União Bandeirante F.C.'s Vladimir Nunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arthur Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vladimir Nunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arthur Fonseca having to make a save. Arthur Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Adalberto Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Fonseca having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adalberto Favoretto got free with Arthur Fonseca in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ulisses Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emerson Leite made a kick off. After 53 minutes União Bandeirante F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Belmiro Mello who took care of the corner kick. After 63rd play minutes Vladimir Nunes shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Arthur Fonseca and just under the crossbar into goal. 68 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Alves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabinho Leal. União Bandeirante F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswaldo Alves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Fabinho Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. If Ulisses Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalberto Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Adalberto Favoretto fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Arthur Fonseca. Vladimir Nunes struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Arthur Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for União Bandeirante F.C.. Oswaldo Alves's late challenge caught a União Bandeirante F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oswaldo Alves helped the player get up and apologised. Oswaldo Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes, União Bandeirante F.C.'s Edmundo Maia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arthur Fonseca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in União Bandeirante F.C. reached it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Economia E.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
