After 12 minutes of play, Chakais do Oeste's Anderson de Amorim made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gil Simões was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gil Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Carlos Eduardo Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chakais do Oeste's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Eduardo Cosme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Toheroa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gil Simões should have stopped the shot. Gil Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Marquez in the 47th minute of play. The Toheroa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chakais do Oeste were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredão Arantes to make the kick off. In the 57th play minute Anderson de Amorim came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gil Simões. 0-4. Gil Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anderson de Amorim got free with Gil Simões in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ruy Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chakais do Oeste played a much better game than Toheroa and deserved their victory. The Toheroa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
