The supporters of Poolzão FC booed when Pindorama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo de Brito was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bernardinho Seco. 11 minutes into the match, Maurício Netto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michel Azevedo. Poolzão FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maurício Netto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 16th minute Remo Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurício Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Azevedo having to interfere. If Reinaldo Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giovanni Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Pindorama's Osvaldo de Brito got control of the ball when Reinaldo Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line.
