Spectators: 7095 (Terracing: 5430, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 0) Walmir Brodel made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Uvaia FC booed when Toheroa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Toheroa's Bernardinho Santana got a free kick in the 12th minute. Toheroa's Hélio Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 16 played minutes Toheroa got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Koehler. After 22 minutes, Gilson Trigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uvaia FC and the Toheroa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Uvaia FC's Gilson Trigo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute Alfredão Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Fabrício Munhoz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Anísio Pires was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredão Arantes was the one to do the kick off. Toheroa's Gil Simões proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Toheroa from getting a goal against them. Gil Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir Brodel in the 62nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Toheroa's Bernardinho Santana tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Tadeu Furlan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gil Simões. The goal made the score 1-1. Walmir Brodel struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Gil Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uvaia FC. If Walmir Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmir Brodel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gil Simões having to make a save. 83 minutes into the match, Uvaia FC's Walmir Brodel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gil Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tadeu Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Simões having to interfere. The nice shot from Walmir Brodel in the 93rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Gil Simões had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Munhoz in the 97th minute of play forced Uvaia FC's goalkeeper Anísio Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Uvaia FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
