César Madureira came free in the 18th minute and tried to tip the ball over Osvaldo de Brito, but to the joy of Pindorama's supporters the ball went over. Jeferson Vides charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Remo Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pindorama's supporters rose to their feet, but Remo Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guo Yi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurício Netto struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Guo Yi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pindorama. Maurício Netto scored 2-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guo Yi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute, Nilson de Queiroz made a precise shot to the right of Guo Yi. Vascolino's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeferson Vides to strike the kick off in the second half. Guo Yi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Eliézer Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Vascolino's César Madureira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Osvaldo de Brito. That made the score 4-1 after 61 minutes of play. Guo Yi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Moreira in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vascolino's zone, Maurício Netto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guo Yi came out of the goal and Maurício Netto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Pindorama's Eliézer Soeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guo Yi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliézer Soeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guo Yi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliézer Soeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. When Remo Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Pindorama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remo Moreira couldn't finish the play. After 75th play minutes Remo Moreira shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Guo Yi and just under the crossbar into goal. 78 minutes into the match, Pindorama's Remo Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guo Yi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Rubinho Leite left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pindorama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Remo Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guo Yi having to interfere. Pindorama's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
