When Gildo Pires came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Cavaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gildo Pires couldn't finish the play. Gildo Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Fonseca Football Club's Wanderson Antunes threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ruy de Azevedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ruy de Azevedo took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wanderson Antunes. Wanderson Antunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Raphael Secco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wanderson Antunes having to make a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gildo Pires to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Cavaco's Gabriel Siqueira got a free kick in the 51st minute. Wanderson Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 58th match minute, Fonseca Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Secco to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 60 minutes, Raphael Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fonseca Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raphael Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wanderson Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruy de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Raphael Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Daniel Campidelis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fonseca Football Club's José Mesquita didn't even have to move. Wanderson Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raphael Secco's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Fonseca Football Club got a corner. Cavaco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. José Vítor Prata ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gildo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. José Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauan Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Raphael Secco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Raphael Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wanderson Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cavaco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
