The xXx Ò.Ó xXx players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Assungui EC were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Márcio de Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio de Castro in the 54th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Adriano Velloso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquim Porto. In the 70th minute, Virgílio Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But to his dismay, Virgílio Monteiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Virgílio Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maicon Jacinto having to interfere. Gildo Senna was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Márcio de Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquim Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Márcio de Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. Assungui EC's Adriano Velloso pulled a muscle in his leg after 96 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When João Francisco Capixaba fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored xXx Ò.Ó xXx's protests and gave João Francisco Capixaba a yellow card for diving instead. After 98 played minutes xXx Ò.Ó xXx got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Capixaba. Joaquim Porto acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cássio Goiano. Assungui EC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over xXx Ò.Ó xXx's much stronger midfield.
