Francisco Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fábio Arruda in the 51st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dráuzio Dante in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wanderson Antunes saved Cavaco from getting behind. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cavaco's zone, Gualter Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wanderson Antunes came out of the goal and Gualter Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo Pires in the 69th minute of play forced Jaibaras's goalkeeper Francisco Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gildo Pires struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Francisco Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavaco. In the 74th minute, Dráuzio Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaibaras made a substitution. Sidnei Rezende replaced Gualter Fontes. After a rather tough play, Jaibaras's Roger Lopes got a free kick in the 79th minute.
