Germano Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, R F Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Furlan came free, but Rodriguinho Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Lopez struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Rodriguinho Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cara de Pau FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalmo Montenegro in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute, Orlando Lopez made a precise shot to the right of Rodriguinho Silva. R F Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. R F Futebol Clube's Rodriguinho Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Lopez in the 17th minute of play. Enéas Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sadettin Tayman having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Cara de Pau FC got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho Domingues. Valdomiro Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. R F Futebol Clube's Valdomiro Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 played minutes Cara de Pau FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Furlan. After recieving a nice pass, R F Futebol Clube's Agostinho Corrêa tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enéas Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Montenegro in the 55th minute of play forced R F Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind R F Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Silva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmo Montenegro in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodriguinho Silva saved R F Futebol Clube from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match, Orlando Lopez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodriguinho Silva. R F Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Lopez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. R F Futebol Clube's Enéas Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Cara de Pau FC's Augusto Hoffmann seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Augusto Hoffmann the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cara de Pau FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Augusto Hoffmann had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 82 minutes Cara de Pau FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Agostinho Corrêa who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on R F Futebol Clube's corner Agostinho Corrêa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sadettin Tayman quite easily take care of the ball. Enéas Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sadettin Tayman having to interfere. Rodriguinho Silva made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Orlando Lopez sent off a good shot on target. If Rubinho Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cara de Pau FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
