Orlando Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Nando Vinhas made a huge save. Sadettin Tayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Moreno in the 28th minute of play. Emerson Abraão might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sadettin Tayman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emerson Abraão ran back to his position shaking his head. Nando Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Montenegro in the 34th minute of play. With a little luck, Cibauma's Nando Vinhas got control of the ball when Orlando Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line.

51 minutes into the match, Cibauma's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Domingues came free, but Nando Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cara de Pau FC booed when Cibauma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dalmo Montenegro took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nando Vinhas. Nando Vinhas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Dalmo Montenegro succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Dalmo Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 61 minutes, Filipe Furlan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cara de Pau FC and the Cibauma players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nando Vinhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Orlando Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nando Vinhas was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. If Dalmo Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Lopez in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nando Vinhas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Denílson Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes Cibauma got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Andreas. Rubinho Domingues's late challenge caught a Cibauma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rubinho Domingues helped the player get up and apologised. 87 minutes into the match, Dalmo Montenegro notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Cibauma's Nando Vinhas. Nando Vinhas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 93 minutes, Emmanuel Andreas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cibauma and the Cara de Pau FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Emmanuel Andreas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute Orlando Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Cara de Pau FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Cibauma for much of the match.
