Severino Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo do Nascimento having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Alfredão Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8thth minute of the game Luís Paulo Porto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fairy Tail's Tiago Faria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Severino Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Severino Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Kléber Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Abelardo do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fairy Tail's Tiago Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico Queirós in the 35th minute of play. Luís Paulo Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Faria having to make a save. The supporters of Goiabal AD booed when Fairy Tail was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Rosado to make the kick off. If Matías de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tiago Faria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delfim Amaral's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Kléber Souto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abelardo do Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 60 minutes into the match, Goiabal AD's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Rosado came free, but Abelardo do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Eurico Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goiabal AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kléber Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delfim Amaral during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Delfim Amaral hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Abelardo do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Paulo Porto in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiago Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abelardo do Nascimento came out of the goal and Kléber Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiago Faria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eurico Queirós in the 90th minute. When Fairy Tail's Severino Rosado in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Goiabal AD's goalie prevented a goal. Fairy Tail were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Goiabal AD for a fine match.
