When Kléber Martins came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Badalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléber Martins couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Potiguara SS's goalkeeper Joélson Falcão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Seco. When Marcelo Seco came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Badalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Seco couldn't finish the play. Kléber Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Kléber Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joélson Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Kléber Martins got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Váldson Trigo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Régis França. The goal made the score 1-1. The supporters of Potiguara SS booed when Badalo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitinho Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joélson Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Martins in the 75th minute of the match. If Kléber Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Potiguara SS defense, Kléber Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joélson Falcão. The Potiguara SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joélson Falcão should have stopped the shot. Valdemar Machado hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Potiguara SS's Váldson Trigo got a free kick in the 94th minute. When Marcelo Seco came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Badalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Seco couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Badalo were the better team. Badalo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
