The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes, Artur Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Potiguara SS and the ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Potiguara SS booed when ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doriva Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agostinho Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Falcão having to interfere. Joélson Falcão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agostinho Tavares went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Joélson Falcão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóvão Castro's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 30 minutes, Agostinho Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI and the Potiguara SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Tavares to maneuver through the defense. After 37 played minutes Potiguara SS got a freekick which was hit by Joélson Pires. Cristóvão Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Falcão having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Potiguara SS's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Castro came free, but Joélson Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI booed when Potiguara SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristóvão Castro in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joélson Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

A hard shot 52 in the game by Agostinho Tavares from a close distance when the talented Joélson Falcão managed to make a qualified save. Potiguara SS's players were relieved. In the 53rd minute, Cristóvão Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Potiguara SS's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Castro came free, but Joélson Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Cristóvão Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joélson Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Agostinho Tavares hit a great ball. When Agostinho Tavares got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI. In the 69th match minute, Potiguara SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Lopes to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Agostinho Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristóvão Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 83 minutes, Cristóvão Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI's Cristóvão Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristóvão Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Joélson Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agostinho Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
