JOBSON FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Cristóvão Castro scored to the left of an out of position Duarte de Lima, making the score, 1-0. ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI's Agostinho Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Cristóvão Castro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 40th minute, Ramiro Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrique Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Duarte de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience was convinced that Valdo de Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Meira was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Duarte de Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 78 played minutes ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Bertassi. Tony Meira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdo de Lara's shot from short distance in the 79th minute.
