Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Zé Roberto Vergílio started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Badalo's Régis França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Gabriel dos Santos in the 3rd minute of play. Marcelo Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Passos having to interfere. Joélson Passos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kléber Martins went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 14th minute, André Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kléber Martins came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Badalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléber Martins couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Joélson Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléber Martins in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joélson Passos saved 10 de Setembro from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in 10 de Setembro's zone, Kléber Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joélson Passos came out of the goal and Kléber Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edvaldo Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edvaldo Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Badalo booed when 10 de Setembro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvaldo Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, 10 de Setembro's goalkeeper Joélson Passos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Seco. 10 de Setembro's Tiago Gabriel dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When André Proença fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Badalo's protests and gave André Proença a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Badalo got a freekick which was hit by André Proença. Régis França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Vergílio in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kléber Martins was the one to do the kick off. Régis França didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. If Edvaldo Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Seco took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joélson Passos. Joélson Passos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. A collision led to Badalo getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Kléber Martins hit a great ball. After 67 played minutes 10 de Setembro got a freekick which was hit by Christian Azevedo. It was beautiful to see Badalo's Vitinho Britto in action when he in the 68th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 72 minutes into the match, Marcelo Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joélson Passos. 10 de Setembro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Zé Roberto Vergílio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th match minute, 10 de Setembro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Freitas to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Kléber Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Badalo's supporters rose to their feet, but Kléber Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joélson Passos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the 10 de Setembro defense, Kléber Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joélson Passos. The 10 de Setembro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joélson Passos should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute Zé Roberto Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Régis França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Roberto Vergílio in the 95th minute of the match. Badalo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
