The BLACK SPIDER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Luís do Vale should have stopped the shot. Eurico Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Luís do Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eurico Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, BLACK SPIDER's Eusébio Meira got a free kick in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eurico Queirós in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Luís do Vale saved BLACK SPIDER from getting behind. Luís Paulo Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís do Vale having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Eurico Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goiabal AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eurico Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th match minute, Goiabal AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo do Nascimento was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Adhemar Moura capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adhemar Moura really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Sílvio Luís do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Abelardo do Nascimento successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 44th minute Adhemar Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The BLACK SPIDER players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Goiabal AD were winning 1-3.

After 53 minutes, Felippe Soares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goiabal AD and the BLACK SPIDER players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Paulo Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eurico Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Sílvio Luís do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dagoberto Simões hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, BLACK SPIDER's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Paulo Porto came free, but Sílvio Luís do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Sena in the 96th minute of play forced Goiabal AD's goalkeeper Abelardo do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Álvaro Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Goiabal AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
