Zé Roberto Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Tony Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, 10 de Setembro's Edvaldo Freitas got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 35 played minutes 10 de Setembro got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Freitas. ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI's Cristóvão Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agostinho Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joélson Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristóvão Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Manfredo Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ULTRADEMOLIDOR PI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 10 de Setembro the free kick. In the 55th minute, Manfredo Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agostinho Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Agostinho Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agostinho Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Passos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Porto in the 87th minute of play forced 10 de Setembro's goalkeeper Joélson Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Agostinho Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joélson Passos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agostinho Tavares in the 98th minute. The 10 de Setembro players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
