In the 47th minute, Raúl Figueiredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovani Tróia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Egídio Hoffmann made the kick off in the second half. In the 67th minute of the match Targinos got a corner. Aratama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Geovani Tróia came out of the goal and Raúl Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Targinos's Egídio Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
