Spectators: 6952 (Terracing: 5452, Seating: 1450, VIP seats: 50) Targinos's Egídio Hoffmann started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Raúl Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Targinos's André Luiz Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Motta in the 7th minute of play. Raúl Figueiredo took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tadeu Recife. Tadeu Recife dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. André Luiz Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Targinos getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Carlos Vergílio hit a great ball. In the 15th minute Valdo Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Luiz Porto came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Kohutavadisk Käpardid's Valdo Motta. But to his dismay, Valdo Motta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Valdo Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. André Luiz Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Raúl Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandrinho da Rocha hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Egídio Hoffmann in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeu Recife saved Kohutavadisk Käpardid from getting behind. Targinos's José Maria Aguiar pulled a muscle in his leg after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 44 minutes into the game, Geovânio Mineiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kohutavadisk Käpardid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Targinos the free kick. In the 45th minute, Geovânio Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Raúl Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdo Motta to make the kick off. André Luiz Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Miranda in the 52nd minute of play. Targinos's Egídio Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Kohutavadisk Käpardid's zone, Raúl Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeu Recife came out of the goal and Raúl Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Luiz Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Motta in the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Kohutavadisk Käpardid booed when Targinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Raúl Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Targinos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raúl Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raúl Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermínio Secco hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Carlos Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Tadeu Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Targinos. After having played for 90 minutes, Dudu Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Targinos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dudu Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
