The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafa Botelho got free with Felippe Penha in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Natanael Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Felippe Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of PARANÁ CLUBE booed when Tijucucu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Téo Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 25th minute, Natanael Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, PARANÁ CLUBE's Caetano Meireles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Téo Carioca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Caetano Meireles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Téo Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Gilvan França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natanael Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felippe Penha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 50th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caetano Meireles made a kick off. Rafa Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Meireles in the 94th minute of play forced Tijucucu's goalkeeper Téo Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natanael Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felippe Penha having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. PARANÁ CLUBE had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
