The ball had pretty good speed, but Téo Carioca firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Cristian de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riachaozinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Téo Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natanael Borges was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Tijucucu's zone, Cristian de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Téo Carioca came out of the goal and Cristian de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes into the match, Riachaozinho's goal looked a bit too open when Natanael Borges came free, but Hílton Dionísio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Riachaozinho's protests and gave Tião Neto a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Riachaozinho! He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hílton Dionísio.
