Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zé Mendes kicked off to start the match. Paulo José Bastos came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Fraga's Guto Bittencourt. But to his dismay, Guto Bittencourt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 10th minute, Zé Paulo Campidelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elói Trigo's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elói Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Fraga getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Guto Bittencourt hit a great ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fraga's goalkeeper Adelino Meira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Fraga's Ernani Palmeira got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Josué Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josué Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Paulo Campidelis made a kick off. When Diamantino Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the game, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Zé Mendes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adelino Meira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Zé Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Meira having to interfere. Diamantino Ribeiro hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Ernani Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Paulo José Bastos made a huge save. Paulo José Bastos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Zé Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Meira having to interfere. Adelino Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Mendes in the 92nd minute of the match. If Diamantino Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Adelino Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Josué Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
