Sydney Neves came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronaldo de Sousa slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 33rd minute. If Osvaldo Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo de Sousa in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sydney Neves saved FDS CLUB from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Costa during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FDS CLUB getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jorge Costa hit a great ball. Geovanni Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The corner ended in Ronaldo de Sousa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FDS CLUB's Sydney Neves did a great save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo de Sousa to make the kick off. Ronaldo de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Sydney Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo de Sousa's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Osvaldo Varela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sydney Neves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enio de Azevedo went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 60th minute, Osvaldo Varela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute of the match Paulinho Fantini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sydney Neves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Jeferson Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the É osguri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeferson Macedo couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliézer Mendonça in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sydney Neves saved FDS CLUB from getting behind. Osvaldo Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rdth minute of the game Osvaldo Varela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FDS CLUB's Sydney Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Mendonça in the 74th minute of play forced FDS CLUB's goalkeeper Sydney Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sydney Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Sydney Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Breckenfeld took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexsandro Albuquerque. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Varela in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sydney Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliézer Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sydney Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Sydney Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliézer Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
