With a little luck, S.E Porco's Sidney Paulista got control of the ball when Dedê Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 15 played minutes S.E Porco got a freekick which was hit by César Vianna. After having played for 26 minutes, Baltazar Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltazar Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. S.E Porco's Sidney Paulista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save S.E Porco from getting a goal against them. A collision led to S.E Porco getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Víktor Prestes hit a great ball. S.E Porco's Sidney Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedê Barbosa in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Tony Prado got a free kick in the 37th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
