Jean de Godoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmares SS's goalkeeper Jean de Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Zé Paulo Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fraga's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Paulo Campidelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

52 minutes into the match, Ernani Palmeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean de Godoi. Palmares SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernani Palmeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Zé Paulo Campidelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean de Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Jean de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a little luck, Fraga's Adelino Meira got control of the ball when Narciso Novaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Adelino Meira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ernani Palmeira was in a good position and ended up with the ball after Fraga's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Fraga defense, Narciso Novaes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adelino Meira. The Fraga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adelino Meira should have stopped the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
