Nuno Camargo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Aloísio Campidelis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leopoldo Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Paranaense having to interfere. Daniel de Lima took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walmir Paranaense. Walmir Paranaense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Nuno Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walmir Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Marcelo Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel de Lima in the 35th minute of play forced Umburaninha's goalkeeper Walmir Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
