José Vítor Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Paranaense having to interfere. In the 12th minute Marco Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Camargo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Charles Maia made a huge save. In the 18th match minute, Umburaninha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Massa to maneuver through the defense. José Vítor Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Walmir Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Loureiro hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. José Vítor Bezerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walmir Paranaense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Marco Baptista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walmir Paranaense having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Umburaninha's zone, José Vítor Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir Paranaense came out of the goal and José Vítor Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Umburaninha's Adhemar Madureira got a free kick in the 25th minute. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Doriva Massa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Charles Maia to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Umburaninha's Marcelo Loureiro got a free kick in the 41st minute. Walmir Paranaense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Vítor Bezerra went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Vítor Bezerra to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sanfogo's goalkeeper Charles Maia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Marco Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Umburaninha's Walmir Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Bezerra in the 58th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Bertassi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If José Vítor Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Walmir Paranaense managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Sanfogo's Marco Baptista fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Doriva Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Maia having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sanfogo's Murillo Marinho got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Nuno Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Umburaninha's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nuno Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Maia came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Umburaninha's Doriva Massa. But to his dismay, Doriva Massa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Umburaninha's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
