Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when José Vítor Bezerra kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Sanfogo's Tiago Gabriel Freitas got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Charles Maia acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Afonsinho de Sousa. If Ernesto Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 7 minutes into the game, Team Piracanjuba's Hudson Saldanha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charles Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 10th minute Teodoro Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sanfogo's zone, Ernesto Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Maia came out of the goal and Ernesto Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernesto Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Maia having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, José Vítor Bezerra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Durval Madureira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Sanfogo booed when Team Piracanjuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fernando Bertassi, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Yan Lucas's late challenge caught a Team Piracanjuba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yan Lucas helped the player get up and apologised. Yan Lucas hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Teodoro Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hudson Saldanha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charles Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Ernesto Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Hudson Saldanha notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sanfogo's Charles Maia. Charles Maia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hudson Saldanha in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles Maia saved Sanfogo from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When Team Piracanjuba's Hudson Saldanha in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sanfogo's goalie prevented a goal. In the 54th minute, Teodoro Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 55 minutes, Hudson Saldanha made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sanfogo's Charles Maia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodoro Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Charles Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Hudson Saldanha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Hudson Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Team Piracanjuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Hudson Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 minutes of play, Team Piracanjuba's Hudson Saldanha made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charles Maia was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Team Piracanjuba fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Team Piracanjuba's Hudson Saldanha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Team Piracanjuba's Hudson Saldanha got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute Hudson Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Team Piracanjuba were awarded a corner. Gabriel Garcia went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Team Piracanjuba's Gabriel Garcia to fire away a dangerous shot which Charles Maia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Baptista during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Sanfogo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Charles Maia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hudson Saldanha went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-1 was the resulting score. If Hudson Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Charles Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Team Piracanjuba's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
