The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelo Loureiro during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Umburaninha got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Loureiro. After a defensive mix-up in Umburaninha's zone, Lino Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir Paranaense came out of the goal and Lino Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmir Paranaense was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Lino Gomes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lino Gomes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Rogério de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Rogério de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Eduardo Vergílio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Walmir Paranaense made a huge save. Válbson Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Nuno Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Umburaninha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Camargo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Camargo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério de Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelo Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Umburaninha's Nuno Camargo got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, S. E. Manda Brasa's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Massa came free, but Rogério de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, S. E. Manda Brasa's Nestor Paranaense got a free kick in the 38th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doriva Massa in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Gomes was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Eduardo Vergílio might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmir Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Eduardo Vergílio ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Umburaninha getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Nestor Cunha hit a great ball. Doriva Massa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Rogério de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doriva Massa's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Luiz Eduardo Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S. E. Manda Brasa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Eduardo Vergílio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rogério de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doriva Massa in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Gomes in the 94th minute of play forced Umburaninha's goalkeeper Walmir Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The S. E. Manda Brasa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Umburaninha's performance. The match ended with a win for Umburaninha.
