Narciso de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogério de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Narciso de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emílio Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Emílio Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Gomes in the 19th minute of play. Lino Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Mangueira having to interfere. If Luiz Eduardo Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Narciso de Souza fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to S. E. Manda Brasa getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Adhemar Vidal hit a great ball. Luizão Andrades short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Rogério de Azevedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 43 minutes into the game, Lino Gomes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S. E. Manda Brasa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Firelink Team the free kick. In the 43rd minute, Lino Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino Gomes made a kick off. Luiz Eduardo Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizão Andrade in the 56th minute of play forced S. E. Manda Brasa's goalkeeper Rogério de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Firelink Team were awarded a corner. Diamantino Cordeiro went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Narciso de Souza advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-0 in the 63rd minute. Firelink Team's Humberto Dante suffered a sprained foot after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Válbson Urbano during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luizão Andrade in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério de Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rogério de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão Andrade in the 73rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Felipe Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Firelink Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Tepedino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 played minutes S. E. Manda Brasa got a freekick which was hit by Dalmo Mota. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by S. E. Manda Brasa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Diamantino Cordeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Firelink Team's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Firelink Team's Diamantino Cordeiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Rogério de Azevedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Hudson Arruda fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Firelink Team's protests and gave Hudson Arruda a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Hudson Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Andrade in the 85th minute of play. If Diamantino Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, S. E. Manda Brasa's goal looked a bit too open when Luizão Andrade came free, but Rogério de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
